I like the angles and rather un-traditional pattern pieces along with that funny little gold bit. Net-a-Porter described them as ankle boots but they cut below the ankle. I don't know.

Truly, madly, deeply in love with the colour of these toe-cap oxfords by Gucci (aside from the perfect last shape and edging.) I had an old second-hand pair of shoes that were similar, but a bit more olive, and felt like a character from a Dickens novel when I wore them with other shades of olive-brown and grey.

Gucci knows how to make a good loafer. They also have a way with colour, but these babies take it to a whole other level. I'm not that big on colour personally, but I always appreciate an interesting colour combination.
