I'm loving the closed-in shape of these Givenchy f/w 11 heels. The collection has many strong points that are carried on to the footwear including - prints, violet (the colour and the flower) and some nice bling.

It's kinda odd seeing those Tisci trademarks on a pair of Chuck Taylors. My favorite detail is the big cross logo on the tongue - large yet subtle.

This is a great shoe collection. Sometimes over-the-top but in a very considered way. The combination of materials are beautiful and I think this may be the only example I've seen of leather applique on shoes I can appreciate.

Givenchy f/w 10 Laced Boots

Always a fan of interesting laces - I was rather taken by these Givenchy boots. The big button-looking fast lacing is a great detail and they come in some wild fabrics. The Wicked Witch of the West would look stupid in the ruby slippers she was after, but these red sequined ones I could see her rocking.

They seem vintage yet futuristic. The shape of the vamp and the way it is lasted around the platform creates really nice lines.

The shoes in the Givenchy s/s 2010 mens and womens collections are Kick-ass! The shape of the wedges create a great silhouette that is at once chunky and slender. I also love the graphic tribal/op-art pattern used in much of the womens shoe collection which is also a feature of the Jeremy Scott Adidas sneakers I posted earlier.
