For winter 2011 Burberry continued with the chunky styles but ramped up the vintage factor.

Burberry showed rather refined and minimal uppers contrasting with thick Dr. Martens style rubber soles - which is a good thing because it rained. I think the use of this work-boot sole on a sneaker works very well, as is it unusual but quite fitting in its casualness.

Gladiators keep fighting on at Burberry. A point of difference with these is the combination of laceholes and a zip.

My previous Burberry post was me getting distracted while trying to make this post. The theme at Burberry Prorsum Mens f/w 10 seemed to be rug-up or DIE! It's a look I love. Those shoes have grown boots. Those boots have grown fur! Burberry shoes have hit puberty.

Burberry Prorsum s/s 10 Knotted Sandals

Great use of knots in the Burberry Prorsum s/s 10 collection (especially those super-chunky ones.) The shape of the platform sole and heel are nicely angular which provides a contrast to the upper.

Burberry Prorsum f/w 09

The Burberry f/w 09 collection of footwear - especially those boots - were so badass. I love the rubber sole that extends up the front, combined with the stripper proportions of the platform, and the buckle. So so so bad (mening good.)
